About the RoleWe're seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, and reliability initiatives within our manufacturing plant in a continuous improvement-based and safe work environment.
This individual will be responsible for training, supervising, and mentoring department personnel, including Maintenance Supervisors, Buyers, Planners, Reliability Engineers, and maintenance technicians of various levels.
The Maintenance Manager will ensure full and consistent compliance with our Company Policies regarding Customer Satisfaction, SQF (Safe Quality Foods) principles, and Regulatory Requirements.
All associates are responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate on the design, implementation, and maintenance of the plant's Lockout Tagout program.
- Owning and driving accountability for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other plant metrics.
- Using metrics/data to evaluate and improve maintenance technical processes and plant leadership procedures.
- Ensuring and monitoring maintenance efficiency.
- Planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet performance standards.
- Using standard work processes to ensure repeatable performance.
- Monitoring maintenance and leadership goals and levels to make sure they are consistent with performance standards.
- Collaborating with other managers and supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Overseeing the review of invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments.
- Overseeing the inspection of physical conditions of the facility, warehouses, equipment, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
- Supporting the creation and execution of the Annual Capital Plan.
- Ownership for site parts inventories, parts management, and technical relationships with vendors.
- Leading current and future energy-reduction efforts and sustainability initiatives.
- Supporting and executing formal processes for Project execution and integration into daily operations.
- Leading, training, and partnering with Corporate and other sites in the use of TPM-based CI improvement tools, including Early Management tools, Autonomous maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Integrating safety, quality, and environmental policies into all relevant maintenance systems and daily work execution.
We're looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about safety and quality.
Candidates should have experience managing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Experience developing and driving performance through the use of appropriate KPIs (MTBF, schedule compliance, PM completion) is also required.
Demonstrated continuous improvement experience, leading or facilitating Kaizen events related to optimizing maintenance/MRO systems, is preferred.
A strong background in Root Cause Analysis is essential.
Strong communication skills, relationship-building, constructive conflict resolution, and accountability are necessary for success in this role.
What We OfferWelch's offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
