Telephone Operator

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Telephone Operator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive timely and accurate information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer hospital incoming calls within 3 rings, using proper questioning techniques to determine the caller's needs.
- Route calls to the appropriate department or personnel, utilizing our paging system and medical terminology knowledge.
- Provide accurate information regarding patient location, visiting hours, and organizational policies.
- Operate our data-linked multi-position PBX console automated system, using features to complete calls efficiently and courteously.
- Respond immediately to emergencies and alarms, following established procedures to ensure success.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
