Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a certified health professional, you will be responsible for applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient clinical history and lab work, documenting information for use by licensed practitioners.
- Position and immobilize patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
- Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Perform radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully complete procedures.
- Verify informed consent and complete pre and post-procedure documentation.
- Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, applying appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed.
Requirements:
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Associates degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
- Experience with Radiology Information System
