Nursing Education Role

The Tampa General Hospital seeks a skilled RN Clinical Unit Educator to design, plan, and manage education projects for our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering nursing care to patients under the supervision of our Department Manager.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will exercise independent judgment and advanced clinical skills to plan and implement nursing care, document assessments, identify situations requiring intervention, and communicate goals and plans of care. Your expertise will also include facilitating organizational change through learning and training programs, measuring their impact, and contributing to the improvement of human performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include coordinating unit orientation, participating in orientee assessments, maintaining unit-based CBO tools, and facilitating preceptor assessment/development. You will also assist with mandatory education initiatives, provide bedside re-education as needed, facilitate student activities, and serve as a liaison to faculty. Additionally, you will participate in setting unit goals, assess effectiveness, and post class dates as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing, a BSN, licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, and at least three years of related work experience. A Master's in Nursing (MSN) or certification in a specialty approved for the ANCC Magnet requirement is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Knowledge of additional software such as Access, Project, Publisher, and Front Page is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
