We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at a corrections facility. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, testing, etc. on all plumbing systems and components of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, drains, sprinkler, sewage, and steam systems throughout the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems and components, including backflows, fire hydrants, fire pumps, water heaters, and other pressure vessels.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on natural gas supply and distribution lines, or other fuel source systems.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for contract work on associated systems.
- Assist other trades as needed.
- Respond to on-call emergency repair work, including after-hours on-site response.
- Complete corrective and preventive maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain logs per ACA requirements as applicable.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and methods.
- Knowledge of safety precautions and skill in using tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) procedures and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensing in applicable trade and jurisdiction preferred.

- Full-time position with potential for overtime, holiday, or weekend work as needed.
