We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at a corrections facility. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, testing, etc. on all plumbing systems and components of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, drains, sprinkler, sewage, and steam systems throughout the facility.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems and components, including backflows, fire hydrants, fire pumps, water heaters, and other pressure vessels.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on natural gas supply and distribution lines, or other fuel source systems.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for contract work on associated systems.
  • Assist other trades as needed.
  • Respond to on-call emergency repair work, including after-hours on-site response.
  • Complete corrective and preventive maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain logs per ACA requirements as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and methods.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and skill in using tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics.
  • Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) procedures and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing in applicable trade and jurisdiction preferred.

  • Full-time position with potential for overtime, holiday, or weekend work as needed.
