Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Seasonal General Oncology Registered Nurse at St. David's South Austin Medical Center.

About the Role

This is a seasonal opportunity that requires a commitment of 72 hours per pay period, including four weekend shifts every four weeks. If holidays fall during your assignment, you will be required to work two holiday shifts. As an oncology nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in line with established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Care Administration: Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients, families, and caregivers about patients' medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including paid time off, paid family leave, long- and short-term disability coverage, and leaves of absence.
