Structural CAD Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Structural CAD Technician to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Madison, WI. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating and modifying design plans and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings for engineering projects.
- Apply Westwood Company CAD standards, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers and other drafters in a team environment.
- Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
Typical Drafting Tasks
- Foundation Layout Plans
- Structural Specifications and Notes
- Steel Structure Fabrication Drawings
- Steel Connection Details
- Concrete Foundation Detail Drawings
- Concrete Anchorage Details
- Importation of tables and calculations such as BOMs to be applied to each drawing.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Technical degree or certification in AutoCAD
- Experience and knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD (3 Years of AutoCAD experience preferred)
- Previous experience drafting structural steel and concrete drawings (1-3 Years of industry experience is preferred)
