About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Territory Sales Professional to join our team at US Foods. This role will focus on developing and managing established as well as new customers, with the primary goal of selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Foster strong customer relationships through a team-based selling model.
  • Manage deliveries to meet the routing schedule published by the transportation department, troubleshooting any problems that occur during the order process.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working closely with the credit department and clients.
  • Identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases and following leads from existing clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, sharing this information with customers as part of value-added services.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice industry or related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships, including cold calling to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $65,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and education. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
