Patient Care Technician Role

We are currently seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and performing various technician duties. This will include:
- Measuring and recording patient stats and observations
- Setting up hemodialysis machines
- Providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment
- Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong desire to enter the healthcare field and care for others. You should also have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to work long hours on your feet, often for 12+ hours at a time
- The physical and mental ability to perform the demands of the job
- A flexible schedule and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Comfort working around blood and needles, as well as mixing acid or bicarb
