Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Central Texas. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to members of all ages and skill levels, while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach swimming lessons to members of all ages and skill levels
  • Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for members
  • Find substitutes when needed and report to the Aquatics Director
  • Build member relations and maintain equipment

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available)
  • Must demonstrate swimming ability
  • Pass reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen

Pay and Benefits:

  • $19.00 per hour based on experience and certifications
  • Free family YMCA membership for all employees
