Breast Cancer Risk Navigator

As a Breast Cancer Risk Navigator, you will play a critical role in our mission to detect breast cancer at its earliest stage and provide tailored care to women with a higher risk of developing the disease.
About the Role:- You will work closely with patients to identify their individual risk factors and develop personalized care plans to ensure timely screening and surveillance.
- You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and advocate for patients throughout the high-risk care continuum.
- You will educate patients and families about risk assessment, screening guidelines, and follow-up measures to empower them to take control of their health.
We are seeking an experienced nurse with a strong background in oncology, radiology, genetics, and/or breast surgery clinics. You must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and an active Missouri RN license. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with advanced certifications in oncology and/or nurse navigation.
The ideal candidate will have public speaking skills, be able to understand and integrate new information, and have experience with evidence-based best practices and protocol development/improvement.
Responsibilities:- You will engage with patients in a telephonic format for approximately 85% of your time, while using electronic communication via the EMR (patient portal messaging) for the remaining 15%.
- You will provide formal risk assessments for women initially screened as high-risk for breast cancer, ensuring accuracy of breast cancer screening recommendations.
- You will assist with patient scheduling for breast specialist clinic and high-risk screening, as well as create, plan, and implement evidence-based measures for high-risk women.
- You will collect, analyze, and report monthly data to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care is delivered to this at-risk patient population.
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
