Job Summary

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. This role involves utilizing therapeutic communication, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, identifying nursing problems, and planning individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' needs and evaluate their care requirements
  • Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs, and communicate their condition as necessary
  • Instruct and educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A registered nurse license from an accredited school of nursing
  • A current license with the Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within six months of hire
  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience (preferably)
