Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Process Specialist is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all processes, procedures, and systems used in determining the manufacturability of new product designs from conceptualization to first production runs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction in implementing required design specifications for new and existing products.
- Implement required manufacturing programs, processes, and procedures.
- Manage departments supporting manufacturing.
- Assist in supporting the implementation of product testing and quality assurance standards.
- Coordinate procurement activities for raw materials and component parts.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Process, or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
- Prior experience working with and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing.
- Prior experience working with BOM's, routings, and time and motion studies required to set standards.
- Prior experience with MRP/ERP planning and scheduling processes and procedures.
- Prior experience working with implementing quality assurance programs and procedures.
