Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting teachers and schools with providing support in classroom instruction, student behavioral support, and providing for the health care needs of students during the school day in accordance with state laws and district regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers and schools with providing support in classroom instruction
  • Provide student behavioral support
  • Provide health care services to students during the school day
  • Evaluate and determine school placement and schedule periodically
Requirements
  • Must have 48 semester hours, an Associate's Degree, or a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have passed the paraeducator exam and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire
  • New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $15.59 - $19.19
  • Salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks
  • Benefits include: $20,000 life insurance policy, $30,000 life insurance policy, health insurance, sick leave, personal leave, emergency leave, Kentucky Public Pensions Authority retirement membership, optional dental and vision, and optional sick leave bank membership
