Medical Examiner for Veterans

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to perform medical examinations on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

This role involves reviewing electronic medical records through a web portal and conducting in-person physical exams on each Veteran.

Upon completion of the exam, you will document the findings electronically through the web portal.

Please note that this position does not involve making disability determinations; those decisions are made by the United States Veterans Administration.

This role is focused solely on performing Disability Assessments on Veterans, and does not involve treating or prescribing medication.

The average workload consists of 3-5 assessments per day, Monday through Friday (8am-4pm).

This is an in-person position requiring regular interaction with patients.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
  • Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings
  • Skilled time management and ability to meet requirements
  • Proficiency in using a computer
