Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Northern Light Acadia Hospital. As a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders.

About the Role:
  • You will work under the supervision of professional staff to assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, and aid in recovery with a focus on social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff, and responding to patient needs taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
  • As a compassionate caregiver, you will maintain appropriate boundaries, function within the patient care team focusing on successful treatment and stabilization, and maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.
What We Offer:

Our hospital is committed to delivering high-quality care and providing a supportive work environment. We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED) is required.
  • You must be able to lift, move and load less than 20 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, walk for prolonged periods, and work with computers, typing, reading or writing.
