As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a high-quality breakfast experience for our guests. This includes assembling and disassembling breakfast buffets, ensuring that the buffet remains well-stocked, and communicating with the kitchen staff to meet guest requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
2. Promote a positive work environment by addressing conflicts in a calm and poised manner.
3. Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling, which may vary according to the needs of the individual property.
4. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
5. Greet guests upon arrival and make them feel welcome, following the 5/10 rule.
6. Provide quality service to all guests by responding to their requests promptly and efficiently.
7. Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean, and provide quality breakfast products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
8. Create an impressive breakfast experience for all guests.
9. Clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables, wiping dining tables, cleaning and replenishing tabletop condiments throughout the shift.
10. Provide information and assistance to hotel guests regarding local and property amenities.
11. Assist guests efficiently and courteously in all hospitality-related functions, while ensuring that all breakfast service is being maintained and served according to brand standards.
12. Inventory breakfast items regularly; order or purchase items as necessary or provide an order for the manager.
13. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public areas.
14. Show initiative in job performance by anticipating the needs of guests and team members.
15. Follow all company policies, procedures, and meet standards.
16. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any safety issues to management immediately.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
4. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English to communicate with guests and team members.
5. Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
6. Must be a team player.
