Job Title: Registered Nurse RN Intraoperative Manager

Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse RN Intraoperative Manager to join our team. As a key member of our OR team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the unit, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care management, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of call and weekend shifts. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on patient-centered care. Our OR suite is equipped with the latest technology, and we offer a range of surgical procedures, including orthopedics, urology, general, gynecology, robotics, and endocrine.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operations of the OR unit, ensuring efficient patient care management and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Manage the unit to ensure patient and employee satisfaction while promoting safety and retention.
  • Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements, aligning with metrics and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Develop leadership skills among staff, including communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and employee engagement.
  • Facilitate unit meetings and shared governance/leadership efforts.
  • Responsible for selection, orientation, onboarding, and retention, demonstrating leadership through coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and development opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of the operational and capital budget, providing daily operational resource management, including staff, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare, normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • A current RN license in the state of practice.
  • At least 1-2 years of clinical experience relevant to the patient population.
  • Critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills to make optimal decisions based on multiple variables and desired outcomes.
