Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $30-$50 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience, education, and qualifications. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits. Job Description

The Relay Test Technician I & II position requires a high degree of supervision and limited exercise of judgement. The focus of this role is primarily on individual projects and assignments designed to develop professional engineering knowledge and abilities. The successful candidate will apply basic engineering principles, specifications, policies, and procedures to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS Engineering Degree (ABET accredited) or other technical training deemed equivalent
  • Competent understanding of math and mechanical and technical skills
  • Ability to understand electrical concepts, including 3 phase AC, DC, Power (Watts and Vars), complex numbers, and basic understanding of DC and AC elementaries
  • Valid Driver's License and excellent organizational skill
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Tests relays and assists an experienced test engineer in performing tasks related to testing a transmission or distribution substation
  • Applies technical skills while working on a project to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
