Key Responsibilities:
1. Compounds and/or prepares medications, including sterile products, oral, topical, controlled substances, and other high-risk medication processes as authorized by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
2. Delivers and exchanges medications to patient areas and returns unused medications to the pharmacy, ensuring accurate documentation and quality control requirements.
3. Operates automated dispensing technology to supply correct medications for individual patients according to pharmacist and physician orders, maintaining inventory levels and rotation to ensure expiration date management.
4. Assists with training new employees, educating them on job-specific functions and contributing to process improvement projects, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Collaborates with the pharmacy team to complete regulatory compliance inspections of medication storage areas, including inspections and controlled substance inventories, USP797, and other regulatory documentation as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program
• CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program
• Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred

Benefits and Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $17.50 - $24.63 per hour (Hiring Range) based on experience. Pay offers are determined by internal equity. This full-time position works 40 hours per week, with an onsite work assignment type and day job schedule. Located in Durham, NC, this position is exempt from overtime.
