Speech Language Pathologist Position

Richmond Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing quality educational services to students with communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the Child Find team and school-based eligibility team to identify students with communication disorders
Conduct evaluations using formal and informal diagnostic measures to diagnose specific speech-language impairments
Develop Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) for identified students and provide therapy to meet individual needs
Ensure students receive culturally sensitive evaluations and services, with an understanding of and appreciation for diversity in our schools
Participate in division- and department-level training opportunities and meetings
Maintain accurate documentation of student services and report progress in a timely manner
Requirements:
Master's Degree or greater in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
Ability to communicate and work with diverse groups in schools and the community
Understanding of normal development and the use of speech, language, and hearing
Knowledge of communication sciences, instrumentation, and remedial procedures for disorders of articulation, language, voice, fluency, auditory processing, hearing, and dysphagia
