Cardiothoracic Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to join our team at Stony Brook University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in surgery for both malignant and benign thoracic processes, including mediastinal and chest wall procedures.

• Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries with a focus on malignant and benign thoracic processes
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with thoracic conditions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Contribute to the academic and research mission of the university

• M.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Eligibility for New York State License and Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Eligibility for the academic rank of Assistant Professor or higher

• Record of success in basic or clinical research
• Interest and experience supervising undergraduate/graduate medical students, residents and fellows
