Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires 8-12 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

You will be working closely with our interprofessional team to deliver holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain management services to patients across various settings. Your expertise will encompass performing pre-anesthesia assessments, reviewing laboratory studies, obtaining informed consent, and developing comprehensive anesthesia care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations of patients.
  • Review and order laboratory/diagnostic studies as permitted by state law.
  • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services.
  • Select, obtain, order, and administer preanesthetic medication or treatment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia care plans.
  • Operate, use, and interpret data from various equipment to perform anesthesia care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist Educational Programs.
  • Current state licensure and compliance with applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Ability to lift objects heavier than 50 pounds.
