This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a rapidly growing company on a mission to transform the US electricity market by shifting homes and businesses to 100% clean energy.
Job OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Renewable Energy Finance Expert to work closely with our Vice President of Finance. The successful candidate will support tax equity and debt transactions for renewable energy projects as well as project acquisitions. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Vice President of Finance to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducting financial analysis and modeling to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of acquisition and project finance opportunities.
- Preparing detailed financial models, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses to assess investment returns and risk factors.
- Assisting in the preparation of term sheets, investment memos, and other relevant documents for M&A, tax equity, and debt transactions.
The Renewable Energy Finance Expert will be responsible for:
- Supporting tax equity and debt transactions for renewable energy projects, including coordinating project handoffs to the asset management team.
- Preparing financial analyses, investment summaries, and supporting documentation for project financing funding requests.
- Contributing to financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Assisting in investor relations activities, such as preparing investor presentations and responding to investor inquiries.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and project development, to ensure alignment and compliance with project finance requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with an MBA or CFA designation being a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in M&A analysis, project finance, investment banking, or a similar role within the renewable energy industry.
- A solid understanding of tax equity and debt financing structures, project finance principles, and renewable energy policies.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This position offers an estimated annual salary range of $143,750.00 - $172,500.00, based on location, experience, and qualifications. Additionally, CleanChoice Energy provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
