Chassis Software Engineer: Digital Twin Specialist

Transforming the Future of Chassis Systems
We are seeking a highly skilled Chassis Software Engineer to join our team in Troy, MI. This is a contract position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
The successful candidate will execute software testing for vehicle chassis systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to validate system performance and ensure program requirements are met. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing software validation test cases for chassis systems, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Electric Power Steering (EPS)
- Collaborating with the Software Team, Electrical Team, and Chassis Team on integration of multiple control units and development of DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and test properties validation plans
- Writing detailed test specifications and scripts based on system and component requirements, and generating a testing plan that achieves targets at various milestones
- Analyzing and visualizing large data sets from various sources to understand use cases and validation criteria
- Post-processing and analysis of experimental data to validate and inform models
- Technical communication of analysis results and tradeoffs
- Root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and escalation of risks to keep software development process on track
- Identifying opportunities for automation and developing processes to improve efficiency
- Participating in Agile Software development processes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer Software, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
- Minimum three years experience in using systems modeling platforms for test development, test automation, test requirements development, execution, and reporting
- Minimum two years experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems
- Excellent communication, team building, and relationship building skills
- Specific experience includes open and closed-loop control systems for sensors, actuators, vehicle controllers, etc., as well as knowledge of CAN-Bus, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols
