Job Title: Systems Engineer, Enterprise

At Fortinet, we are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will work closely with a Major Account Manager to support the sales team in all technical matters related to pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-sales: Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint, ensuring that our solutions meet the customer's needs.
  • Sales calls: Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls, providing expert guidance on features, specifications, and functionality to customers and partners.
  • Conversant with networking applications and solutions: Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and solutions, enabling you to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Post-sales: Be the lead technical contact for identified accounts, working closely with the technical support team and engineering to resolve customer technical issues.
  • Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training: Help customers get the most out of our solutions through comprehensive training and support.
Required Skills:
  • 5-8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
  • 5-7 years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
  • Proven understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and anti-virus technologies.
  • Solid understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES technologies.
  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies is required.
  • Exceptional presentation skills are essential for success in this role.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. A graduate degree is highly desirable.
