Salary Range: $221,600 - $318,600 per year

About the Job

">

The Corporate Counsel will provide expert legal advice and counsel to internal business clients, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. This role involves coordinating with various legal specialists to support litigation, intellectual property, export, employment, and other matters affecting the business.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Providing legal guidance on corporate rights, obligations, and privileges
  • Coordinating with legal specialists for litigation and internal investigations
  • Drafting contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, real estate, employment, insurance, mergers, acquisitions, and related matters
  • Staying updated on legislative issues, statutes, decisions, and ordinances
  • Examining legal data for defending or prosecuting lawsuits
  • Serving as an agent of the corporation in various transactions
  • Advising on risk assessment concerns
  • Developing, reviewing, or implementing company-wide training programs
  • Overseeing corporate governance matters and its committees
  • Collaborating with outside counsel to direct activities

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

">
  • A J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Membership in the State Bar in the applicable location, capable of being licensed through testing or comity, or registration as an in-house counsel in accordance with the rules of the applicable State Bar
  • Strong academic credentials and high levels of integrity and ethics
  • 6 or more years of government contracts experience at top law firms, government agencies, and/or in-house legal departments

Preferred Qualifications:

We welcome candidates with experience in contracting and subcontracting in support of U.S. Government programs, complex commercial transactions, FAR, DFARS, and other federal agencies' rules and practices.
