Pacific Southwest Container, LLC is a world-class manufacturer of custom packaging solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Account Executive to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting and converting high-potential prospective customers to Pacific Southwest Container. This role requires a strong understanding of the packaging industry and excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive new territory and prospecting strategy to generate new business.
  • Identify and engage with prospective customers to create customized solutions for their business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough research and communication to establish authentic connections and opportunities to bid on new business.
  • Develop new project opportunities by guiding the design, estimating, PrePress, and project management stages of each project.
  • Establish pricing strategies for each project in partnership with the team VP, outlining pricing, terms, and conditions to prospective customers with clear next steps and timetables.
  • Onboard new customers, steward structural and art approvals, and work cross-functionally to ensure smooth order completion.
  • Integrate new customers into the existing sales organization, with oversight from the team VP.
  • Participate in company sales meetings, trade conferences, and entertainment events.
  • Travel as needed to meet with customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fact-based selling environments, preferably in CPG and tech sales
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, user-friendly solutions
  • Strong negotiation and dynamic selling skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and understand key thresholds within Pacific Southwest Container
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment and work in a hybrid/remote selling environment
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the year and attend customer meetings with short notice
  • Ability to be on-site at Pacific Southwest Container in Modesto for initial 90-day training and ad-hoc plant visits/meetings thereafter
  • Desire to grow their sales career in a fast-growing, expanding company
Compensation
