Job Overview

Economical Super MKT, a family-owned business, is seeking an experienced Sandwich Artisan and Cafe Specialist to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches, wraps, and short-order items in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items, and other menu items based on customer orders and standardized recipes.
  • Customer Service: Greet and engage customers, taking orders accurately and addressing any dietary preferences or special requests.
  • Menu Knowledge: Be familiar with the cafe's full menu, including ingredient lists and cooking methods, to assist customers and suggest options.
  • Cooking and Assembly: Use grills, fryers, and other equipment to prepare orders efficiently while maintaining portion control and presentation.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to food safety standards, regularly cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and utensils.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a sandwich shop, deli, or fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of short-order cooking techniques and food safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, handling multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
