Compelling Opportunity for a Fleet Diesel Mechanic Lead

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Mechanic Lead to oversee the maintenance and repair of its fleet's diesel equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, rebuilding, replacing, and completing all required repairs on diesel equipment such as tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and more.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience or 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification. They must be able to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations, read and understand technical and service manuals, communicate effectively with coworkers and drivers, and manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will also perform preventative maintenance within company standards, complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability, and handle road service calls, including road rescue/transport equipment when needed. You will maintain a clean and safe work environment, keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the Shop Fax system, and backup other maintenance shop personnel.
