Patient Care Specialist

Bon Secours is seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team on the Med/Surg Orthopedic Unit (Joints) - St. Mary's Richmond. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care, including vital sign measurement, personal care and hygiene, and assisting with mobility.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes and concerns.
- Prioritize excellent customer service for all patients, their families, visitors, and employees.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility.
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program or equivalent certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
