Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infection Preventionist to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $42-$45 per hour, with opportunities for career advancement and professional growth. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing infection prevention and control programs to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Providing education and training to staff on infection control practices and protocols.
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies to prevent and control infections.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • At least three years of experience in nursing, preferably in a long-term care or acute care setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and nights, to meet with employees working varied shifts.
