Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support our clinics based in Glastonbury and Farmington, CT. This role will involve implementing individualized plans of care, assisting in comprehensive evaluations, and providing direct therapy services in an individual and group setting.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in communication disorders or a related field and have experience working with individuals with Autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Preferred qualifications include ASHA speech-language pathology assistant certification and experience implementing evidence-based treatment to individuals with ASD.

This position also includes weekly participation in individual and group supervision, participation in center-based professional development, and opportunities for growth and development of clinical skills. The successful candidate will develop a schedule that aligns with the clinic's patient needs and the candidate's personal availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing individualized plans of care as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist (SLP)
  • Assisting the SLP in conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing direct therapy services in an individual and group setting
  • Implementing data collection procedures to track client progress
  • Utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
  • Ensuring compliance with ethical and professional standards
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team on developing, implementing, and revising the treatment plan of care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASHA speech-language pathology assistant certification (C-SLPA)
  • 1+ year(s) experience working with individuals with Autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Experience implementing evidence-based treatment to individuals with ASD
  • Experience in leading evidence-based social skills groups
