Job Title: MRI Technologist - Travel Position

Job Summary:
Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a travel job in Texas. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and be certified in magnetic resonance imaging. The position requires the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Responsibilities:
Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
Assist radiologist with procedure performance
Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images
Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements:
1 year of experience in magnetic resonance imaging
BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
