About the Position

Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements at public housing apartment units and buildings.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, three to five years of progressively responsible apartment maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. A current and valid driver's license, and a satisfactory driving record, is required for this position.

Candidates with vocational training in general maintenance, construction, or mechanics will be preferred over other candidates for employment. The selected candidate will be contacted directly by telephone, and all other candidates will receive an email communication after the position is filled.
