About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Care Specialist to join our team at Youth Villages. As a key member of our mental health team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to determine the underlying causes of their symptoms, including physical, mental, and psychiatric factors.
  • Develop and lead treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide psychopharmacological assessments and reviews as required.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and communicate effectively with other team members.
  • Communicate with parents about medication recommendations and participate in clinical rounds and other clinical meetings.
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities, including providing necessary orders and conducting physical assessments of youth when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all required trainings, re-certifications, or licensing requirements/renewals.

Requirements

  • Licensed physician
  • Completion of a board-approved child/adolescent psychiatric residency
