Cyber Risk Consultant

The Hertz Corporation is seeking a Cyber Risk Consultant to join our team in a global enterprise security role. This position will be responsible for consulting with executive leadership, managers, and Hertz employees on matters related to cyber security and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Information Security experience, preferably in a global Fortune 500 corporation, and applied knowledge of risk management methodologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills, are required. The starting salary for this role is $130,000; commensurate with experience.

The Cyber Risk Consultant will be a key member of the Cyber Security & Compliance organization and will be responsible for:

• Consulting with executive leadership, managers, and Hertz employees on matters related to cyber security and compliance
  
  
• Seeking to understand business needs and identifying proper cyber security and compliance services to address those needs
  
  
• Coordinating services between the assigned line of business and cyber security and compliance
  
  
• Identifying risks associated within the assigned line of business
  
  
• Garnering feedback, tracking, measuring, and reporting on the effectiveness of the cyber security and compliance program to the Chief Information Security Officer
  
  
• Providing metrics and feedback to the assigned line of business on security and compliance matters, such as vulnerable systems, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, security awareness, security policy, and investigations
  
  
• Reporting on the security and compliance posture of the assigned line of business to the leader of that area, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer
  
  
• Assisting in troubleshooting network security and compliance issues related to their assigned line of business
  
  
• On-call support duties in a continually changing, fast-paced environment
  
  
• Driving optimal cyber security services to complete resolution according to security SLA's
  
  
• Handling all private information with discretion and keeping sensitive information private
  
  
• Proactively seeking out corporate strategic business goals and suggesting methods to secure them
  
  
• Excellent teamwork competencies, seeking out opportunities to partner with all stakeholders
  
  
• Providing education to employees, particularly in the assigned line of business
  
  
• Strong relationship building attributes
  
  
• Excellent communicative skills, particularly with senior executives, translating complex information into easy-to-understand business risk scenarios
  
  
• Mentoring junior security staff
  

The ideal candidate will have:

• 
  
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
  
  
• 5+ years of Information Security experience, preferably in a global Fortune 500 corporation
  
  
• Applied knowledge of risk management methodologies
  
  
• Some experience with a wide range of enterprise common security platforms, endpoint security, vulnerability management, etc., and capable of producing reports from these platforms for the assigned line of business
  
  
• Experience with eGRC platforms preferred
  
  
• Capable of working under pressure in a continually changing fast-paced environment
  
  
• Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across a global environment
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Certifications desired: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
