Job Overview

The Facility Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our locations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our employees, clients, and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the premises.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and window cleaning, as per established procedures.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms, events, and company functions, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Monitor and restock supplies in various areas, including breakrooms and storage facilities, to prevent shortages.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the relevant department to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs, to prevent equipment failure.
  • Contribute to facility security by ensuring all doors and windows are properly secured at the end of each workday.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Participate in special projects or tasks assigned by management to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Requirements

  • Must have weekend availability to support the demands of our business.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques is essential for effective performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment are crucial for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude are necessary for collaboration with colleagues.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending, is required for this position.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures is essential for preventing accidents and injuries.
  • Reliability and punctuality are critical for meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of service quality.

Estimated Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
