Job Title: RN Medical Trauma

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in the medical trauma unit. As a registered nurse in this unit, you will provide therapeutic care of patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions. You will assess acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, cardiac specialists, and patient care staff to administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility. You will also monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions utilizing our computerized documentation systems. Additionally, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education. You will maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, coworkers, and other customers.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License
  • 1 year of recent RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (Preferred)
