IT Leadership and Business Intelligence Visionary

The Director of Information Systems and Business Intelligence will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, development, and implementation of our IT and business intelligence systems. This senior leadership position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, security, and actionable insights across the organization.
This role requires an individual with extensive experience in IT management, data analytics, and cybersecurity, as well as a strong track record of driving business intelligence initiatives and managing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, capable of operating in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs information systems team to provide insight and aid in business decision-making.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information with proactivity to ensure digital safety.
- Develops business intelligence gathering practices, data management, and its systems.
- Develops business-continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in emergency or data loss situations.
- Ensures protection of business intelligence through up-to-date cybersecurity and risk management practices.
- Leads and develops the implementation of IT and analytics processes for various organizations served.
- Oversees project planning to produce reports performing meaningful quantitative and qualitative analyses addressing business issues or questions.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, including effective dashboards, reports, and quantifiable metrics.
- Hires and trains IT and Analytics staff, assigns projects, and conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations both internally and externally.
- Develops and implements standard operation procedures (SOPs) for security compliance organization-wide and accurate reporting/data gathering.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics/needs.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards for the IT and business analytics departments, providing recommendations for improving infrastructure.
- Successfully plans yearly budget for the department and ensures proactive equipment needs and repairs planning.
- Cordinates multi-site IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
Technical Requirements:
- At least ten (10) years of experience working with Power BI and business intelligence/analytics roles.
- Eight (8) years working in information systems management combined with business intelligence experience.
- Knowledgeable in network infrastructure, disaster recovery, data warehousing, and strategic planning.
- Proven capability to work with various computer networks, databases, and system architecture.
- Strong knowledge and prior experience with data security and compliance regulations.
Skill Requirements:
- Effective communication skills in a highly cross-functional and diverse organization.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices with proven experience implementing large organizations' processes and workflows.
- Ability to think analytically, problem-solve, and adapt to changes.
- Ability to make projections and forecasts based on organizational performance using accurate reporting tools and data-gathering practices.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Great presentation skills and ability to speak in public.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, business analytics, or related field.
- Master's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
