Job Title: Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor

Join the State of Louisiana team as a Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in implementing nutrition services through the supervision of nutrition staff in a parish health unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and oversee the work of lower-level Public Health Nutritionists and nutrition support staff.
  • Implement all OPH nutrition programs in a health unit, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Assess staffing needs and recommend staffing patterns to the Public Health Nutritionist Manager.
  • Supervise the budgetary allocation for nutrition programs for the parish health unit.
  • Interpret state policy and procedures regarding federally funded nutrition programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct WIC management evaluations for the parish health unit.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a regular Louisiana Dietitian/Nutritionist License.
  • Three years of professional-level experience in public health nutrition or dietetics in a clinical or hospital setting.
