Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in community health initiatives and projects

  • Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan patient needs
  • Maintain good body mechanics at all times
  • Make independent decisions when necessary
  • Stay knowledgeable about practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care
  • Implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Perform competently in areas such as patient rights and safety, sanitation, and confidentiality
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others
  • Keep confidential information secure
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training
Essential Functions:
  • Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients
  • Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals
  • Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs, rehab aides, and PT and PTA students
  • Chart accurately and on time
  • Utilize therapy software correctly
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in evacuating patients
  • Attend work regularly and consistently
  • Cultivate reasoning skills and sound judgment
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Maintain physical stamina during working hours
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
