Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician/Lab Tech is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting laboratory operations. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including vital sign collection, specimen processing, and laboratory testing.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including phlebotomy, and ensure accurate results are reported to healthcare providers.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient laboratory operations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain proficiency in laboratory procedures and patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare education or experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification or nursing assistant certification a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a laboratory setting.
Working Conditions
