Village Management Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Water Damage Restoration Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of Laguna Woods Village, ensuring that residents live in a safe and healthy environment.

Job Overview

This position involves investigating and resolving water intrusion issues, preparing cost estimates, researching information, and preparing reports and recommendations for construction follow-up actions. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of mold and mildew remediation processes, abatement procedures for asbestos containing materials, and modern office equipment and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve water intrusion issues in residential buildings.
  • Prepare cost estimates for restoration projects and research information to inform decisions.
  • Develop scopes of work for damage remediation and restoration projects.
  • Schedule staff and contractors for restoration work, inspect sites for compliance, document procedures, and maintain records.
  • Work with insurance carriers to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate with residents regarding policies, procedures, and restoration project details.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in water damage restoration, building construction, or inspection.
  • Knowledge of mold and mildew remediation, abatement procedures for asbestos, and modern office equipment and practices.
  • Valid California driver's license and ICBO Certificate (International Conference of Building Officials).
