Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Liaison to join our Specialty Pharmacy team at Omnicell, Inc. As a Clinical Liaison, you will play a critical role in working with healthcare systems to provide clinical support and expertise in specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and capture new prescription resources to grow and expand the business
  • Expertise in specialty pharmacy, including REMS products, oncology, hematology, and rheumatology
  • Experience in a specialty pharmacy accredited environment (URAC/ACHC)
  • Review patient clinical programs and specialty processes to ensure accreditation requirements are met
  • Identify areas of expansion and improve efficiency and reduce obstacles for providers
  • Enroll specialty patients into the program and support them throughout their therapy
  • Coordinate clinical projects, assist with formulary decisions, and ensure billing compliance and revenue capture
  • Assist in preventing and resolving drug-related issues and provide drug information to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ensure the Pharmacy meets Omnicell Specialty Pharmacy Services' standards based on Service Level Agreements
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate effectively with clients
  • Develop and maintain an escalation protocol for situational-specific matters
  • Document, track, and follow up on critical action items daily
  • Work closely with the Quality Team to ensure maintenance and completion of clinical and operational audits
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of clinical and operational documentation
  • React quickly to issues and treat them at the appropriate level
  • Address escalated complaints and resolve issues
  • Apply good business process techniques and manage execution through key performance metrics and indicators
  • Perform duties in accordance with established SOPs and aligned with the core values of the company

Requirements

  • Pharmacist license current and in good standing
  • Successful completion of state pharmacy board examination
  • Maintains continuing education requirements
  • Three to Five years' experience working within a specialty pharmacy clinical role
  • Three to Five years' experience in the practice of pharmacy in a lead role
  • Three years of experience in specialty pharmacy

  • Demonstrates proficiencies in specialty disease state management and interventions
  • Comprehends federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to the practice of pharmacy
  • Familiar with workflow concepts relating to the practice of retail pharmacy
  • Shows full understanding of controlled substance rules and regulations
  • Detailed understanding of REMS programs relevant to specialty pharmaceutical products
  • Understands the limited distribution process for specialty pharmaceutical products
  • Has sufficient knowledge, training, and expertise in pharmacotherapeutics
  • Possesses leadership skills and abilities
