Job Summary:

The City of San Antonio Texas is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) team, you will be responsible for implementing a program-wide model for social and emotional learning to effect positive behavioral change in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SEL team to develop and implement a comprehensive social and emotional learning program
  • Provide support to students, teachers, and staff to promote positive behavioral change
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance
  • Work closely with special education teams to provide support to students with behavioral needs
  • Conduct data-driven analysis to inform program development and improvement

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g. education, psychology, social work)
  • Experience working with students, teachers, and staff in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of social and emotional learning principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
