Gastroenterology Clinical Faculty Lead

Chicago, Illinois, United States Rush Full time
Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, is seeking a highly subspecialized Gastroenterology Clinical Faculty Lead for the Esophageal Center of Excellence. Located in downtown Chicago, we are part of a large system focused on patient care, teaching, and research. The Section of Gastroenterology is part of the Digestive Diseases Service Line, which integrates clinical care, teaching, and research efforts to advance the subspecialty. The faculty are part of an integrated team of clinicians and researchers who collaborate with allergy/immunology, colorectal surgery and oncology, bariatric surgery, ENT, pathology, and neurology.

Rush is an elite medical community recognized yearly for excellence in patient care, medical discovery, and clinical expertise. Our continued pursuits have earned Rush University Medical Center the distinction of being on U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals Honor Roll. Eleven Rush programs have been recognized amongst the nation's best, including top ten national rankings for neurology and neurosurgery and orthopedics.

We're passionate about health equity for the communities we serve, for our patients, and for our employees. We know that the South and West Sides of Chicago have historically been underserved. As a result, there is a 16-year gap in the life expectancy of someone in Chicago's Loop versus someone in Chicago's West Side. Rush has built a strong Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement, and we founded the RUSH BMO Institute of Health Equity. As part of our Anchor Mission strategy, we hire, invest, buy, and source locally. We've invested more than $6 million on the West Side since 2018, and that number continues to grow every year. We continue to provide excellent patient care for everyone who comes to Rush. Interested candidates, please send your CV and cover letter to Halli Pockat, Manager, Faculty and Provider Recruitment.
