Job Overview

GARUD, a Maryland-based, SBA-Certified Woman Owned Small Business, seeks a seasoned Program Manager to support a critical Department of Commerce (DOC) client. The ideal candidate will have experience working with DOC and on programs involving strategic and cradle-to-grave acquisition tasks.

Our portfolio includes the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Education (DoED), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Federal, State, and Local Authorities. Our team consists of Engineers, Scientists, and Subject Matter Experts with hard-to-find experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contract staff and schedules, and maintain regular contact with the Government's Project Officer and/or Contracting Officer's Representative.
  • Provide team leadership and guidance, and overall program management vision in support of day-to-day operations.
  • Responsible for profit and loss associated with the overall contract and associated task orders.
  • Manage personnel providing Program Management, Acquisition, Budget, and Financial Management services.
  • Ensure all contractual deliverables are completed on-time and with the highest quality.
  • Responsible for the overall project plan, project performance, and client satisfaction on multiple project tasks.
  • Act as advisor to the program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Lead the identification, selection, and implementation of tool sets to support Program Management functions.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years' of direct PM experience with 5 years supporting a NOAA program.
  • Clearance: DHS Suitability.
  • MUST be able to report to client site 1-2 days per pay period in the Washington D.C. metro area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certified.
  • Familiarization with acquisition-related programs and support.
