Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Diagnostic Radiology. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating good judgment in the use and application of ultrasound equipment. You will assess the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assist the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies, utilizing good judgment in the use and application of ultrasound equipment.
  • Assess the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assist the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies.

Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of Sonography/Ultrasound Tech experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography program
  • Active unencumbered Sonography state license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
