**Job Title:** Rural Mail Courier

**Company Overview:** The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Rural Mail Courier. As a key member of our delivery network, you will play a vital role in ensuring that mail and packages are delivered safely and efficiently to customers across the rural landscape.

**Estimated Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Job Description:**
As a Rural Mail Courier, your primary responsibility will be to deliver mail and packages along a prescribed route using a vehicle. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, sorting mail in delivery sequence, and receiving and signing for accountable mail. In addition, you will be required to load mail into the vehicle, collect monies and receipts for accountable mail, and pick up mail from roadside boxes. Your daily tasks may also include preparing mail for forwarding, maintaining records of change of address information, and submitting trip reports to the post office.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy mailbags and packages
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
